Joplin High School mourns loss of student in traffic accident

With great sorrow, we must report that over the weekend, JHS Junior Kylar Olmstead died in an automobile accident. 

Counselors and administrators at the high school will be available to speak to and provide resources for students, family, and staff as needed while they process this event.

“We are very saddened by the loss of Kylar," said Joplin High School Principal Dr. Steve Gilbreth. 

"He was a fine young man, and he will be missed by his high school family. Our prayers go out to his family and friends while they work through this sudden loss."
