(From the McDonald County Prosecuting Attorney's Office) McDonald County Prosecuting Attorney Maleia Cheney is pleased to report that on September 13, 2023 David M. Hood, 44, Goodman MO was convicted by a McDonald County Jury of 2 counts of Sodomy, one count of Statutory Rape and three counts of incest.
During the two day trial, presided over by The Honorable Kevin Selby, Presiding Circuit Judge, jurors heard testimony from five witnesses for the state, including the three victims, and two witnesses for the defense.
At the conclusion of the testimony, jurors deliberated for one and one half hours before returning their verdict of Guilty on all counts.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for November 6, 2023 at 9 a.m.
Prosecutor Cheney wished to express her thanks to all involved that brought a difficult investigation and prosecution to a successful conclusion.
