The arraignment for a Carl Junction man charged with second-degree domestic assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child is scheduled for 9 a.m. September 20 in Jasper County Circuit Court.
Kyle Flinn (DOB 1989) is free after posting a $75,000 bond.
From the probable cause statement:
On 7/26/2026, Kyle Flinn committed the offense of Domestic Assault 2nd Degree by dragging his girlfriend, Victim 1, with a motor vehicle for several feet.Their children in common, Victim 2,Victim 3, and Victim 4, were present in the vehicle at the time of the assault.
Victim 1 stated she was attempting to remove one of the children from the back seat to prevent Flinn from fleeing the area with them when Flinn accelerated at a high rate of speed, dragging her several feet.

Victim 1 fell to the ground after letting go of the vehicle and sustained road rash to her left arm and the left side of her face, as well as swelling around her left zygomatic arch. Once Flinn reached the end of the block, he turned the vehicle around to check on her.
Victim 1 again attempted to remove one of the children from the back seat. Flinn then accelerated at a high rate of speed, dragging Victim 1 several feet a second time.
While her injuries were being assessed by first responders at the scene, Victim 1 advised that she had sustained a neck injury as a result of the incident. Victim 1 was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

His body was later found weighted down in an abandoned water well. Newberry received 40 to 50 blows to the head, and several baseball bats were found near an abandoned well where his body was discovered, authorities said.
The Perpetrators: Three of his 17-year-old high school classmates—Jim Hardy, Ron Clements, and Pete Roland—were arrested and convicted of the crime. Hardy was the senior class president and an honor student.

However, following U.S. Supreme Court rulings regarding juvenile sentencing, all three men were eventually paroled and released from prison between 2021 and 2022. THE U.S. Supreme Court made a TERRIBLE DECISION BASED ON JUVENILES - THESE THREE MURDERS WERE ALL LESS THAN A YEAR FROM BEING ADULTS - YET THEY MURDERED WITH NO REGARD!!! THEY SHOULD ALL STILL BE IN PRISON - NO EXECPTIONS!!!

And what does that have to do with this. From my understanding this guy was trying to get his kids away from their psycho mother! And he is with the kids, and she gets supervised visitation. So like everything there are two sides to the story and this one side does sound bad for him, unless you know the rest of the details that aren’t here.

Kyle Flinn, thanks to his actions was arrested and had to post on a $75K Bond - WAS THAT SMART OR STUPID 11:46PM - He could end up himself with Jail Time, Limited, Supervised, or No Visitation - THATS WHAT IT HAS TO DO WITH IT - 11:46PM - Why didn't he call the Police, and then go back to court and File for Supervised Visitation for his Wife - NOW HE IS THE ONE ON THE LEGAL HOT SEAT - - The 2-Sides of the Story is Worthless now - he was one arrested, he was the one that has to post bond and it may cost him more than money to escape these charges - all the while the courts and her attorney may see that he is the one that is psycho and needs help - - Bad Decisions will do that 11:46PM and he will be able to present his side of the story when he goes to court - and that may not sway the outcome though and what he eventually happens!
