Casual restaurant chain to locate in Joplin

McAlister's Deli, an eatery similar to Panera Bread, serving soups, sandwiches, and salads, plans to put a restaurant in Joplin in the near future, according to an article in today's Wichita Eagle.
The Jackson, Miss., based company plans to build six restaurants in the next three to four years, with locations in Joplin, Wichita, and Topeka to be run by a franchisee, experienced in running restaurants, who is based in Oklahoma, the article said. The company did not release the franchisee's name. The company has 169 locations in 18 states.

I just wonder where they'll get enough people to staff the place...seems like every eatery in town is short-staffed, and the help wanted ads are plentiful for that type of work. Where has the workforce gone?
