The purchase of American Household Inc., owner of the Sunbeam plant in Neosho caused Jarden Corporation to suffer a $22 million first-quarter loss, according to information filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The loss was due to the sale of preferred stock to raise money to buy American Household, according to the filing.
