Don't count on it happening since the case has been delayed time after time over the past couple of years, but the trial of former Carthage R-9 Board of Education and Carthage police officer Michael Lloyd Wells has been scheduled for May 15 in Jasper County Circuit Court.
Wells is charged with forcible rape, sexual assault and two counts of incest, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred on Sept. 1, 1994, and April 1, 2001.
