Globe editorial: Remember Rowan Ford

In an editorial just posted on its website, the Joplin Globe asks readers to remember nine-year-old murder victim Rowan Ford:

Rowan’s life — and her death — conjured images that can’t be forgotten, nor should they be forgotten.

There is now a brick bearing the girl’s name at the newly opened Veterans Memorial Park. She is the only non-veteran to have a brick in the park, according to Chuck Dalbom, a former principal of Triway Elementary School in Stella and the chairman of the Stella Veterans Memorial Committee.

We believe the honor is fitting.

Let’s not forget Rowan Ford.

Chuck Dalbom is just promoting himself.
