Rowan’s life — and her death — conjured images that can’t be forgotten, nor should they be forgotten.
There is now a brick bearing the girl’s name at the newly opened Veterans Memorial Park. She is the only non-veteran to have a brick in the park, according to Chuck Dalbom, a former principal of Triway Elementary School in Stella and the chairman of the Stella Veterans Memorial Committee.
We believe the honor is fitting.
Let’s not forget Rowan Ford.
