A good friend on Facebook confirmed for me that while the Patriot Guard will not be in Joplin officially Sunday when Rev. Fred Phelps and members of the Westboro Baptist Church come to protest, it is likely that many of them will be here on an unofficial basis.
The reason for the unofficial status is that the group's mission is to provide protection for families at military funerals.
However, many Guard members are expected to arrive, sans jackets, but on motorcycles with American flags.

Maybe they can roast theys weenies over a debris bonfire and sing along to Toby Keith about the glories of the red white & jew.
