Richard, Flanigan endorse John Brunner

(From the John Brunner campaign)

Today, two Joplin area leaders in the Missouri Senate and House of Representatives announced their endorsement of John Brunner in his campaign for the U.S. Senate. Both cited Brunner’s private sector experience and successful business growth as key to leading America’s economic revival.

Representative Tom Flanigan, a lifelong Carthage resident, serves parts of Jasper County in the Missouri House of Representatives. As a former small business owner of a small insurance agency and as someone who is intimately involved in his local community, Representative Flanigan truly understands the needs of Jasper County and who would best represent them in the U.S. Senate.

“I am proud to endorse John Brunner in the U.S. Senate race, as he will fight to repeal burdensome federal mandates and use his extensive and successful manufacturing background to pass pro-growth policies that will boost the economy and restore America’s prosperity. I know John Brunner will truly be a citizen-senator — someone whose priorities are to serve Missourians, return fiscal discipline to Washington, and support policies to ignite America’s economy.”

Senator Ron Richard, who represents the 32nd Senatorial district including Dade, Newton, and Jasper counties, was the first Speaker of the House to be elected to the Missouri Senate in 100 years. Prior to his service in the Missouri House, Richard served four years as the Mayor of Joplin. Richard, a staunch advocate for small business and limited government, is a member of numerous Joplin area organizations including the Chamber of Commerce and the NFIB.

“When I look to Washington, I see just more failed leadership from Sen. McCaskill and failed leadership from the President. I’m intimately involved in promoting small business growth in Joplin and around Missouri and I know the devastating effects of Obama and McCaskill’s burdensome regulations and tax hikes. We need a citizen-senator in John Brunner who will lead in the Senate to cut the burdensome red tape, balance our budget, create jobs, and restore America’s economic growth. I am glad to endorse John Brunner and look forward to working with him when he is elected Missouri’s next citizen-Senator.”

Following Senator Richard and Representative Flanigan’s endorsement, John Brunner issued the following statement:

“Senator Richard and Representative Flanigan are true representatives of their local communities and they best understand how the Obama-McCaskill policies are destroying growth and killing our economy,” said Republican U.S. Senate Candidate John Brunner. “As Missouri’s next citizen-senator, my four-point plan to repeal burdensome regulations, reinvest in America’s domestic energy, pass tax reform, and enact comprehensive tort reform will get America working again and restore America’s economic growth.”

Which burdensome policies that Obama and McCaskill have implemented is Brunner wanting to get rid of? Talk is one thing, but specifics need to be addressed if anyone wants to be taken seriously. I think a lot of people are tired of "we'll straighten it out by doing STUFF" line the politicians are using. What is this stuff?
