(From State Treasurer Clint Zwiefel)

State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) will be visiting a farm in Lawrence County and touring the row crop and cattle operation to learn more of the deep impact the drought is having on the agriculture industry on Wednesday, July 25 at 11 a.m. Media is welcome to attend or meet with Treasurer Zweifel.

Treasurer Zweifel announced on Tuesday, July 17 all 114 counties in Missouri are eligible for emergency 24-hour agriculture loan approval through the Missouri Linked Deposit Program. The emergency process is known as the Harmed-area Emergency Loan Priority system, or HELP. Eligible counties are determined by Treasurer Zweifel using executive orders, disaster requests, State Emergency Management Agency and Federal Emergency Management Agency information and Agricultural Disaster Designations and Declarations. Normal loan approval time is 10 days.
