Sen. Josh Hawley, R-MO, dodged a reporter's question about whether he agreed with President Trump on quickly reopening the nation for business.
"I think what the president said is he'd like to see people get back to work as soon as possible," Hawley said. "Of course, we all do and he's right about that. We don't want to lose jobs.
"We've also got to break the back of this pandemic. We're just going to have to take it as it comes.
'That's why the relief I hope Congress today will pass is absolutely critical."
