A few citizens have asked if Jasper PD is shutting down and quarantining themselves as much as possible from the public... The answer to that is we are continuing business as usual and will be out patrolling.
We will continue to use good sanitizing methods as we’ve done before the crisis. We all have bottles of hand sanitizer in our vehicles and it’s always been encouraged to use it often. We were running low on hand sanitizer before the crisis, and when we went to buy some today, they were out here in town.
The awesome staff at Dollar General knows we’re on the front lines and it’s really important for us to have access to plenty of hand sanitizer. They were kind enough to give us a bottle they had for their staff behind the counter. For that, we say thank you.
