Another update on a former Joplin television reporter.
Kristyn Hartman's first story was an ice storm that hit the Joplin area 12 years ago. Now the Illinois native and Northwestern University graduate is a general assignment reporter for the most prestigious news station in the state and one of the best in the country, WBBM in Chicago.
She started her career as a reporter at KSNF in 1993, and has since had stints at WMBD in Peoria, Ill., KTVK in Phoenix, Ariz., and WCCB in Charlotte, N. C., before moving to WBBM in September 2004.
