I've been remiss in not mentioning the death of Ernie Hobson, 65, of Granby. Mr. Hobson, who died late last week, was well known through the '60s and '70s for playing music with the Hobson Brothers Band or Hobson Brothers and Company. His brother, Dennie, died a couple of years ago.
The Hobsons had a strong influence on young musicians in this area for more than four decades.
