Accused double murderer Micah Holman is scheduled to go to trial Friday, Aug. 25, in Dade County, but his attorney, Brandi McInroy, has asked for a continuance, according to Dade County Circuit Court records.
Holman, 33, Carthage, faces two murder charges, two armed criminal action charges, and an arson charge in connection with the June 4, 2005, deaths of Marvin and Peggy Steverson, Carthage. He is accused of killing the couple and then burning their home in an effort to destroy evidence.
The Dade County trial is on a Barton County charge of stealing, allegedly committed on March 22, 2005, in Lamar. The case is being heard in Dade County on a change of venue.
