Coca-Cola is breaking ground this morning on a new 56,000 square foot distribution center at Crossroads Industrial Park in Joplin.
Gov. Jay Nixon, Sen. Ron Richard, and Joplin Mayor Melodee Colbert-Kean are among the dignitaries who are attending the groundbreaking, which is being held as these words are written.
Coca-Cola's news release says, "Coca-Cola has called Joplin home for more than 100 years. They have continually operated in the same facility the entire time, longer than any other business in Joplin."
The new facility is scheduled to open in early 2013.
