City Council to vote on new deal with Blasters at next meeting

The details of a new agreement between the City of Joplin and the Joplin Blasters was revealed at the City Council meeting Monday night.

The new deal cuts in half the amount the Blasters have to pay each year, from $150,000 to $75,000. The city will pay for utilities, but will reimbursed if the average attendance reaches 1,500.

The Council will vote on the proposal at its next meeting.
