Roy Blunt: To our veterans, thank you

(From Sen. Roy Blunt)

Missouri is home to nearly 500,000 veterans who put their lives on the line to protect our freedom and way of life. We owe them, and their families, a deep debt of gratitude for the countless sacrifices they have made.

This year is the 100th anniversary of Veterans Day. Originally called Armistice Day, November 11th marked the end of World War I. 116,000 Americans lost their lives in that war and another 200,000 were wounded in battle.

Many things have changed in a century, but our country’s pride in our veterans hasn’t.

Not just on Veterans Day, but every day, we remember their heroism and reaffirm our commitment to honoring their service.

In the Senate, I’ll continue working to ensure our men & women in uniform have the tools, resources, and training they need to carry out their missions.

Once our service members become veterans, one of my top priorities is ensuring they have everything that was promised to them – from access to quality health care to help transitioning to a job in the civilian workforce.

To our veterans, thank you.

You and Josh should honor veterans by condemning the clown we have for a president that lies, steals and dishonors our country with our NATO allies and all other countries. You support a person who has made a shambles out of the middle class, ruined numerous farms by fully supporting subsidies to corporate farms while allowing them to drive out the true family farm. As a teacher you should be objecting to his life style and lies imposed on our youth and giving them the ideas that it is ok to lie and steal if you are high up on the food chain.

Roy's mug is creepier than the average dude on a sex offender registry.
