During a press conference today at the Capitol, House Democrats blasted their Republican colleagues for proposing a sizable number of bills they described as anti-LGBTQ.
House Minority Leader Crystal Quade, D-Springfield, said, "Republicans decided to file an obscene number of anti-LGBTQ bills this year, the second-most in the country."
Quade noted that Speaker of the House Elijah Haahr, R-Springfield, has referred "every single one."
During the press conference, numerous Democratic legislators detailed their bills, supportive of the LGBTQ community, that are going nowhere.
