Missourians go to the polls to choose a Democratic candidate for president in less than two weeks and their preference in a poll conducted by KMOV of St. Louis of 1,100 likely primary voters shows a preference for former Vice President Joe Biden.

The polls were taken last Thursday and Friday, following the debate in Las Vegas.

Biden was the preferred candidate with 22.4 percent, followed by former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg at 17.4, former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 11.2 percent, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vermont at 11.0 percent, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts at 10.2 percent, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota at 8.8 percent and 17.3 percent undecided.

The poll showed 57.5 percent thought it was more important to choose a candidate who could beat President Donald Trump, while 32.3 percent preferred someone who was in line with their views on issues.

The most important issue to Missourians was health care, according to the poll.
