(From Cherokee County EMS)This morning we received word that Baxter Springs Firefighter, Lt. Malachi Brown had passed away from injuries he sustained while working at a structure fire on Oct 15.
The staff of The Cherokee County Ambulance Association wish to offer our condolences to Lt. Brown’s wife, Jessica and their children.
We would also ask that you keep the entire Baxter Springs Fire Department, the citizens of Baxter Springs and all of Lt. Brown’s brothers and sisters in the fire service, far and wide, in your thoughts and prayers as everyone continues to process this devastating news.
