Former Carthage resident indicted on meth trafficking, weapons charges


A federal grand jury indicted a former Carthage resident on meth trafficking and weapons charges.

According to the indictment, which was unsealed today in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, Carlos Joseph Blake Gandy, 36, Galena, Kansas, was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

All of the crimes allegedly took place August 30 in Jasper County.
