(From the McDonald County R-1 School District)A big announcement to kick off the new year for McDonald County Schools!
The McDonald County R-1 School Board of Education has chosen Dr. Eric Findley for the role of superintendent of schools.
Dr. Findley is currently superintendent at the Jasper R-5 School District in Jasper, Mo.
His career in education spans almost 25 years in schools across central Missouri, including roles as a physical education teacher and coach, guidance counselor, middle school and high school principal, and the superintendent position at High Point, Mo schools as well as his current position at Jasper R-5 Schools.

He replaces Dr. Mark Stanton who will retire at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
Dr. Findley’s first day on the job at McDonald County Schools will be July 1, 2023.
