Dade County prosecutor files statutory rape, sodomy charges against Everton man

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control announces the arrest of Ray E. Medcalf, 62, Everton, Missouri. Medcalf was arrested on July 12, 2024, for first-degree statutory rape and first-degree sodomy following an investigation by members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control, Troop D Criminal Investigations Unit.

On July 11, 2024, a member of Troop D’s Criminal Investigations Unit responded to a request from the Dade County Sheriff’s office to assist with an investigation of an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile female. 








Medcalf was alleged to have sexually assaulted the juvenile multiple times at his residence in Dade County. 

On July 12, 2024, Medcalf was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold. 

On July 13, 2024, the Dade County Prosecuting Attorney filed formal charges of first-degree statutory rape and first-degree sodomy against Medcalf. Medcalf is being held in the Cedar County Jail with no bond authorized.

The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
