An Oklahoma firm is suing Flying J Inc., saying the company did not pay $85,000 it had agreed to pay for construction work.
In the lawsuit, filed today in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, Jack Young Asphalt and Construction, Inc., alleges the Flying J owners, based in Utah, hired the Oklahoma company to "renovate the service plaza kitchen and dining room areas, as well as the entryway to the restaurant and convenience store and thereby improved and bettered the real property," at the Joplin store.
The company is asking for the $85,000, plus interest and attorney fees.
The lawsuit was originally filed in Jasper County Circuit Court.
