An article in today's Springfield News-Leader indicates the national spotlight will be trained on the Missouri U. S. Senate race between Republican incumbent Jim Talent and his challenger, State Auditor Claire McCaskill, a Democrat.
With Democrats attempting to regain control of the Senate, a seemingly vulnerable Talent appears to provide a golden opportunity. Republicans have already shown they intend to fight to hold on to the seat.

McCaskill is too moderate for my taste but compared to Talent, she seems half way reasonable.
She is seeming like the logical choice to a bunch of us "former" Republicans too Seth.
