Changes planned for KOAM website?

It looks like some changes may be in store for KOAM's website.
Today's Joplin Globe features an ad for a website manager. The ad reads, "We have the website, can you make it huge? Website manager wanted for popular high traffic local site."
Television station websites are woefully underused. For the most part, they reflect news that has already been on at 5, 6 or 10. When you consider how little of the programming time is devoted to local news, the station website can serve not only as a means of driving internet users to the channel, but also as a means of keeping them informed.

Turner, I have to tell you that I really appreciate the "anonymouse".net website information. I think everyone should use it as it is their right to "hide in the shadows" as you put it. People have the right not to have their IP adresses disclosed as you have done in the past on the post. That is nearly as bad as a true reporter revealing their sources but then you wouldn't know anything about being a true reporter. One other thing: I believe that people are still waiting on you comments and views on a very hot, legitimate topic. That topic is the controversial decision by the Joplin school board to give Dr. Simpson a very hefty raise that makes him extremely overpaid. You want to talk about Leggett and Platt officials who are overpaid and this isn't even really your concern because they are hired in the provate sector. Dr. Simpson is a concern to everyone because they are paying his salary. Is this your practice? To report on news unless it is a tough topic? Doesn't this compromise your integrity by backing off on this story. It would be the equivelant of trashing senator Nodler then to stop reporting on him if you went to work in his office. I thought you were a little more "stand-up" than that. I was obviously wrong.

As someone who loves web design...It is really hard to find an "entry-level" postion in web design. I have designed many different types of professional looking web sites, most for my interest or other family members. There is so much relevant information their new web site could provide, that the other two Joplin stations overlook or bury in all the other stuff. I could go on and on with design ideas, but that is not for here!
