Three-term U. S. Senator Joe Lieberman, just six years removed from being a candidate for vice president of the United States, has conceded defeat in the Connecticut Senate primary.
Challenger Ned Lamont won't get rid of him that easily. Lieberman said he will continue his battle in the November general election as an independent. Political experts have said they expect the race will again be between Lamont and Lieberman since the Republicans are only offering a token challenge.
