Bearden adds Sinquefield, 19 others to client list

It did not take long for the new lobbyist on the block, former House Speaker Pro Tem Carl Bearden to turn the expertise he picked up on the taxpayer dollar into big bucks of his own.
On Thursday, Bearden, who resigned from the House to join with Travis Brown and Rachel Keller Brown to form the lobbying group Pelopidas, added 20 clients to his list, including billionaire voucher supporter Rex Sinquefield, who is also represented by Travis Brown.
Other clients now represented by Bearden include:
American Academy of Dermatology, Washington, D. C., American Petroleum Institute, Washington, D. C.; AT&T, St. Louis; Chlorogen, St. Louis; Couer Business Group, Lake St. Louis; Heyltex, Katy, Texas; K12, McLean, Va., Metro Heart Group of St. Louis, Inc.; Mid-American Medical Affiliates, Kansas City; Missouri Ambulatory Surgery Center Associates, Lee's Summit; Missouri Society of Anesthesiologists, Jefferson City; Missourians for a Better Economy, Columbia; Monsanto, St. Louis; Signature Health Services, Sujvl Inc., DBA Cheap Cheap, St. Ann; The Brown Lobby Firm, Columbia; and Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Prior to Thursday, Bearden's only clients were himself and Pelopidas.
Bearden's new clients are also represented by Travis Brown. The only clients Brown represents who are not represented by Bearden, according to Missouri Ethics Commission records, are the City of Raytown and Gaines Brown Consulting, Jefferson City.
