Sen. Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, returned $4,325 in excess campaign contributions, according to his third quarter disclosure statement filed Tuesday with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
The money came from contributions received before the July 19 Missouri Supreme Court ruling which declared the law eliminating campaign contribution limits to be unconstitutional.
Of the $4,325, the largest amount, $2,225, was returned to the Missouri Health Care Association, with another $650 going to the Missouri Health Care Association PAC, $725 to the Supporters of Health Research and Treatment, and $725 to the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
