State Representative Hunter sets sights on Carl Junction R-1 Board of Education

Rep. Steve Hunter, R-Joplin, whose House career will be brought to an end by term limits in January 2009, has set his sights on local office, according to a document filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Hunter, a former teacher, indicates that he will run for a seat on the Carl Junction R-1 Board of Education in April 2009.
The document is listed as a "termination" document, but there is no listing of how the money for the "Grassroots for Hunter" committee was distributed, so it could be that it is simply a changeover from state representative to school board.
