Add Rep. Shane Schoeller, R-Willard, to the list of politicians who are feathering their nests with campaign contributions from retired billionaire and educational voucher supporter Rex Sinquefield.
Schoeller's April campaign disclosure report, filed Sunday with the Missouri Ethics Commission, showed that more than half of Schoeller's $9,375 in receipts, $5,675, came from political action committees established by Sinquefield in 2007 to enable him to get around campaign contribution limits.
Schoeller accepted $800 from various committees called Missourians Needing Educational Alternatives, $2,600 from committees named Public Charter Schools of Missouri; $975 from three Your School, Your Choice committees; and $1,300 from four Merit Pay for Missouri Teachers committees.
