Will the 23rd time be the charm for BCMH embezzler?

Since the last time I wrote about how Kimberly Schlup had postponed her payment review hearing for the 20th time, the Barton County Memorial Hospital embezzler, has added two more notches to her belt.

The most recent postponement took place Friday, according to Cedar County Circuit Court records. The 23rd payment review hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 2.

Court records indicate no payment review has been held since Ms. Schlup, the former BCMH finance director, was sentenced on March 27, 2006...more than two years ago. Ms. Schlup entered an Alford plea, meaning she was not pleading guilty but conceded she would have been convicted had she gone to trial. She was charged with stealing $100,085 from the hospital during her tenure as finance director. The court ordered her to repay that amount.

Court records do not indicate she has paid a cent since her sentencing. Ms. Schlup spent four months in prison as shock time and then was released.

Unbelievable! 23 times and they have not made her pay a cent, go to court and face her crime and do her time? What is wrong with the legal system!!!!! Justice needs to prevail, make her face her crime and do the time, plus pay back with enormous interests what she stole! A thief and a liar, prison is perfect for her! Give her some time to think about what she did. Even Martha Stewart did her time without avoiding the Justice system! Schlup is not anyone special and needs to face up to what she did!
