Joplin's American Idol contestant Asia'h Epperson arrested for assault

A barroom brawl has landed Joplin's former American Idol contestant Asia'h Epperson in jail:

According to an LAPD spokesman, the Idol reject and her sister got into a scuffle with another woman while in the ladies room. Neither the victim nor Epperson appeared to be hurt.

"There were no visible injuries," said the spokesman.

The unidentified victim subsequently filed a criminal complaint against Epperson. The latter was cuffed outside the venue at about 2:20 a.m. and taken to a nearby station where she was booked on a battery charge; she was released five hours later on bail.
