Lampe bill would require legislators to wait two years before becoming lobbyists

It has an uphill battle in the Republican-controlled state legislature, but on the first day of pre-filing 2011 legislation, Rep. Sara Lampe, D-Springfield, submitted HB 39, which would shut the revolving door which has legislators immediately becoming lobbyists upon leaving office.

The text of the bill has not yet been filed.

Way to go Lampe! Now my Republicans should support her efforts.
