I don't like the name MoSo news for Missouri Southern State University's half hour television news program.
The program starts with a woefully short mention of the death of Board of Governors member Chuck Surface. The mention, which is limited to a statement from the university, is actually shorter than the happy talk conversation between the anchors that starts the program.
There was a time when Missouri Southern journalism stood for something.

I like the name you have for the chit-chat we see far too much of on TV - happy talk. And, of course, it's unfortunate that this "happy talk" goes on for as long as it does. And so I take it the anchors weren't allowed or encouraged to come up with their own story on the passing of Mr. Surface? Rick Nichols.
