(From the Ed Martin campaign)
Senator Rand Paul will join Ed Martin for stops in Southwest and Southeast Missouri and urge Missourians to vote for the Republican nominee for Attorney General.
Martin said: "Senator Paul knows how vital it is for state Attorneys General to take the lead in fighting for freedom and against power-grabbing by the liberals in Washington. I am deeply grateful that Rand Paul, a great patriot and champion of the conservative cause, is taking time from his busy schedule to visit Missouri in support of my candidacy for Attorney General.”
Senator Paul, a favorite of the Tea Party, will join Ed Martin for events in Springfield and Cape Girardeau on Monday, October 29. Details of Senator Paul's stops will be announced at a later date.
Senator Rand Paul will be the third high-profile Republican to visit Missouri to campaign with Ed Martin. Governor Rick Perry first visited Missouri in June for a rally in Cape Girardeau. Perry also visited in September for a meet-and-greet in Columbia. Also in September, Senator Marco Rubio headlined a private fundraiser for Martin in the St. Louis area.
