Facebook page formed for southwest Missouri educational issues

A Facebook page has been created for the growing grassroots movement that has started locally to deal with Common Core Standards.

The page, which was created today, describes its purpose in this statement:

Southwest Missourians for Better Education is a movement to help coordinate interaction between community members who are striving to maintain local control and quality education in schools We believe in policy that supports this.

The page contains links to the East Newton petition to stop implementation of Common Core Standards, the Missouri Education Watchdog site, and the Missourians Against Common Core site.
