THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM CST THIS EVENING. * TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND ADJACENT AREAS OF SOUTHWEST...CENTRAL...AND SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI. * WINDS...STRONG SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP THIS MORNING AS LOW PRESSURE APPROACHES MISSOURI. AS THE LOW MOVES THROUGH THE AREA WITH A TRAILING COLD FRONT...THE WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE WEST AND NORTHWEST. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS OF AROUND 45 MPH TO LOCALLY 50 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED DURING THE DAY AT TIMES. * IMPACTS...CROSSWINDS ON WIND EXPOSED ROADS MAY AFFECT HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. OUTDOOR OBJECTS THAT ARE NOT SECURED MAY BE BLOWN AROUND. HIGHER GUSTS MAY DAMAGE WIND VULNERABLE OUTBUILDINGS. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
