Voters say it loud and clear: Pass the guns and ammunition

While the Right to Farm Amendment is too close to call, there is no such difficulty with Amendment Five- Missourians love their guns and they love their ammunition.

At this point, with most precincts in, Amendment Five is posting as easy victory with 586,022 yes votes, 62 percent, to 355,859 no votes, 38 percent.

Jasper County voters cast 10,951 yes votes and 3,715 no votes.

Newton County's totals were 6,780 yes votes and 2,101 no votes.

Finally, a true and decent story from Randy Turner. Who wrote it for you?

Yes, Missourians love their guns and ammo, and their privacy, but they are too dumb to recognize a con game when they see it. Right to "farm" - NOT! This was a masterful con game run by giant corporate agriculture, complete with bogeyman HSUS to prevent the Missouri farmer from looking too deeply into what it will really mean, which is that the only legal actions and enforcements in the future will be under federal law and EPA regulations. No way the independent farmer has the money to stand up to that kind of power and money, so the corporate types can seize all the farmland they want by default.
The "behind closed doors" game in the legislature was interesting. The gun crowd will not study amendment 1, they''ll go to the polls and vote for anything labelled "right to farm" without thinking about it. Let's give them a redo of the rights they already have so that we get them to the polls.
