Twelve COVID-19 deaths in Missouri over past 24 hours

Twelve COVID-19 deaths occurred in Missouri over a 24-hour period, with nine of deaths reported in St. Louis County, according to statistics released this afternoon by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

The death toll stands at 189, including 91 in St. Louis County, 21 in the City of St. Louis, 15 in St. Charles County, 13 in Kansas City, eight in Jackson County and seven in Greene County.







Today's deaths, included the first COVID-19 death in Newton County.

An additional 134 cases were reported, bringing the total to 5,941.

Only one new case, the Newton County death took place in this area. At this point, 15 cases have been confirmed in Jasper County, 10 in Newton County, seven in Joplin, four in McDonald County and none in Barton County.
