It is undeniable that China intentionally misrepresented and suppressed vital information that could have mitigated the spread of the coronavirus. Instead of acting in the global interest, the Chinese government took deliberate action that created the worldwide crisis we find ourselves in today.
These reckless acts directly contributed to the deadly pandemic that has killed nearly 100,000 Americans and unleashed an economic tragedy that has impacted communities in every corner of the United States.
I just introduced legislation to force the Chinese government to pay for the loss of life and economic injury it caused.

On February 26, President Trump boasted that the coronavirus was about to disappear altogether from the United States. “You have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero,” he insisted.
A reporter asked him today how that prediction is holding up, given that the United States now has surpassed 1 million confirmed coronavirus cases. Trump insisted he had been right all along.
“Well, it will go down to zero, ultimately,” he said.

Really, the good witch of the east or west in this case is playing politics with other nations when her president waited three weeks before acknowledging the virus was going to be a problem. He did not listen to the experts on Jan 21 and then screwed around with our health services by not funding them or deleting them in entirety. Your party is sucking air so bad there is a void in Missouri and elsewhere due to your greed and lack of concern for your citizens.
