Joplin R-8 Board schedules closed session to prepare for negotiations with employees

The Joplin R-8 Board of Education will meet in a special closed session 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Memorial Education Building for "preparations on behalf of the district or its representatives for negotiations with employee groups, including any discussion or work product," according to the agenda.

No other items are scheduled to be discussed.

The board's Finance, Salary and Benefits Committee met this afternoon to prepare for the session.
