Former Joplin daycare operator sentenced to 3 months after probation violation

During a revocation hearing today in U. S. District Court in Springfield, a former Joplin daycare operator admitted to violating the terms of her probation and was sentenced to three months in prison followed by two years of supervised probation.

LaSonya Poindexter, 35, violated her probation by unlawful use of a controlled substance, failed to notify her probation officer about a change of residence and failing to have full-time employment.

Poindexter was serving probation after serving a prison sentence for attempting to kidnap the infant daughter of one of her daycare clients.

Details about that case can be found at this link.
