The Sarcoxie City Council will hear an appeal of Police Chief Brandy Corum's suspension during a meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Community Building.
Mayor Don Triplett suspended Corum for two weeks April 4 and asked for her resignation.
In a message to city residents that was posted on the city's Facebook page Saturday, Triplett did not reveal the reasons for asking for the resignation saying they are "strictly personnel matters."
Other items on the agenda include an ordinance updating the employee handbook and a closed session where the council will likely make its decision on Corum's future.

I thought police officers were supposed to be able to meet physical requirements. This photo does not look like she is a very healthy person.
Agreed. I think she has a much brighter future as a comedy writer, not a law enforcement officer. She definitely needs a course in Constitutional Rights, especially regarding detainee rights post arrest. She should have been canned the FIRST time she wrote a comedy skit involving her prisoners.

For those who are not up on their street slang, ACAB is short for "All Cops are Bastards". While I do not have to agree with what you say to defend your right to say it, as classless as it may be, just remember the next time you are in need of help, whether it may be the victim of a robbery or assault, or get into a car accident, or the myriad of other things you might need the assistance of law enforcement for, whatever you do DO NOT CALL THEM. That would be the classic definition of hypocrisy and I certainly would not want you to have to live with the label of hypocrite. Living with the label of POS must be hard enough.
