A federal judge this morning delayed the trial of a Joplin chiropractor on child pornography charges until the October 30 docket.
The attorney for Eric Hedman, 39, asked for the delay from the original July 17 trial date to give him time to evaluate discovery in the case.
A grand jury indictment of Hedman for receiving and distributing child pornography was unsealed June 6. Hedman, who operated his own practice at Hedman Chiropractic at the time of the alleged offense, is charged with one count of receiving and distributing child pornography between Jan. 1 and Dec. 12, 2022.
Hedman is free on his own recognizance.
