During the closed session, Councilman Chris Taylor made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Terri Heckmaster to move forward with a statement of charges against Almandinger. No specifics on the charges were provided.
The council approved the motion 6-0 with one abstention. Voting in favor were Taylor, Heckmaster, Derek Peterson, Ray West, Tom Barlow and Jana Schramm. Lori Leece abstained.

Why would anyone want to go work for the poophole Carthage is becoming? They cannot govern worth a crap. They refuse to hire a fire chief and apparently they can’t find a CA. What a CCU created mess. Hope they’re happy!
This is nothing but a corrupt city council with an agenda to punish anyone who makes their precious embezzling friend look bad. Ms. Shram is his wife’s good friend and his son is also part of the city council. They have a vindictive agenda and we are seeing it play out, while Carthage and its citizens pay the real price.
My question is how does Schram's sister Gina Hunter AKA Ginger H. Post things to the news media that only should be known by the people in close session. Looks to me like someone is leaking information.
To the citizens of this great city beware election time is coming up we've experienced what kind of council we get when they are bought and paid for by the CCU.
Abi comes in and immediately turns a significant profit at the golf course. She improves every city park and does her job extremely well. Friends of Mark Peterson don't like that, so they come after her, especially Mark's son that serves on city council. Talk about a conflict of interest! But, he has to protect daddy. Carthage politics continues to be a clown show.
To the seriously uniformed, with regard to any of the alleged, multiple complaints against Abi, is anyone aware of how the process even works?
While you’re blaming Jana, CCU, any fantasized Peterson connection, it’s none of the above.
If someone has a complaint against a City employee, it is vetted by MM and the City Hall HR process. It’s validated, disproven and filed if it’s a legitimate complaint and becomes a write up.
If there are enough of them, it leads to some form of disciplinary action. Apparently there’s enough here for a hearing. Even if hopeful Mayoral candidate, Mr Ed, is busy posting she’s “beyond reproach.”

Your experience as a journalist should have been something for others to lean on but you’ve chosen to ignore the smell of rot associated with the CCU.
Cossey, for example, is complete trash. She is narcissist who was hell bent on destroying anyone who doesn’t agree with her. You had a chance to investigate her connections to Peterson and the motivations of the CCU, yet you chose to ignore. You’re a fraud.
That’s not entirely how it works.
There is a one way investigation process in place where they do not talk to the person being accused or to anyone who can refute the accusation.
The talk to the accuser and who the accuser tells them to talk to.
They definitely need a new process for handling complaints.
