Lawyers for The Weather Channel will get their first crack at former employee Marny Stanier Midkiff during a deposition scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the law offices of Daniel M. Klein in Atlanta.
Ms. Midkiff, who was a longtime on-air personality for the channel under her maiden name Marny Stanier, began her professional career doing weekend weather for KODE in Joplin. She filed an age discrimination lawsuit against The Weather Channel after she was fired last year.
According to documents filed in U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the deposition may take longer than one day. "The deposition will continue from day to day until completed," the notice said.
The deposition will be videotaped, as well as being recorded by a stenographer, the notice said.
