While he undoubtedly was not referring to anything illegal, Sen. Jim Talent probably should have chosen his words a bit more carefully today. KC Buzz Blog reports he promised an energetic campaign, a campaign "on steroids."
Considering the effect steroids have had on those who use them and the fact that they have been a major issue in sports, as low as the high school level, perhaps Talent should find another phrase to demonstrate his energy.

It's different. Those athlete's used performance ENHANCING steroids. Talent's obviously found some that has a conscience numbing effect.
