Sen. Kit Bond, who was in Florida two days last week campaigning for former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, sounded confident about his candidate during an appearance tonight on Fox News Channel's Hannity and Colmes.
"Florida is not only the thing that can, but will propel him (Giuliani) to the front of the race," Bond said.
Bond said a Florida win is absolutely necessary to give Giuliani a shot in Missouri. "It will be easier if he wins Florida, but we'll continue to fight hard if he runs a close second."
Giuliani's chief competition appears to be Mitt Romney and John McCain, since Mike Huckabee appears to be cutting back in Florida and Fred Thompson has left the race.
